Mangalore, Oct 27: "Hasun Nachun Gavunya", a music album for the children was released at a formal function held at Kalaangann here on Friday October 27 evening.

This is the first Konkani music album produced by Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy.  The cassette/CD is dedicated to those children who are learning and teachers those who are teaching Konkani in school across Dakshina Kannada, Uttara Kannada and Udupi districts.

The music album was released by Walter D'Mello, Block Education Officer (BEO). Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy president Eric Ozario presided over the function. Konkani Prachar Samiti president Roy Castelino was the guest of honour on the occasion. Academy registrar S H Shivarudrappa was also present on the dais.

Well-known Konkani music director Joel Pereira was felicitated on the occasion.

S H Shivarudrappa welcomed the gathering and academy member Vitori Karkala proposed the vote of thanks.  Stany Alvares compered the programme.
