Withdrawal of support to UPA-1 a "mistake": CPI leader

Thrissur, Oct 27 (Agencies) : When the mainstream Communist parties in the country are engaged in introspection of their past political lines, a senior CPI leader in Kerala on Monday said withdrawal of support to the UPA-I was a "strategic mistake" of the Left.

"We (the Left) withdrew support to the first UPA government at the Centre over the Indo-US (civil) nuclear deal. It involved a strategic mistake. We failed to convince the people of the reason for taking such a stand. There has been a sharp fall in the strength of the Left in Parliament in elections that followed," CPI state secretary Panniayan Raveendran said at a programme of the party's farmers wing here.

Raveendran recently criticised the CPI(M) for its decision to observe the 50th anniversary of the split in Indian Communist movement while ignoring the 75th anniversary of the party formation in Kerala.

CPI-M hit back by asserting that the split in fact had helped emergence of a working class revolutionary party by dissociating from the deviationist policies and authoritarian approach of the then chairman of the undivided party SA Dange.

Who said Dubai is belongs to particular community. In fact Locals are feeling in UAE that they are minority but they love majority in general unlike few Indian minority communities. Now you can decide to live in hell or heaven. For people like you we have already gave one piece of land separately. Why don't you shift over there?

    Dear Shakuna, Mangalore,

Why do you hate yourself by keeping a bad name?

We don’t hate RSS. But the RSS hates Christians since British entered inside India and that legacy of dirt is filled in the Chaddi RSS.

Who said Chaddi is not important. Have you???!!!

Chaddi, Pants, Panties, Shirts are foreign Inventions. Not Swadeshi inventions.

RSS and BJP should not wear Chaddi.

They should use only LoooooOOOOOOONNNNNNNGG Cloth.

BABA RAMDEV RAN AWAY WEARING SALWAR KHAMEES.

I have Chaddi RSS notices issued on our door steps to use only Swadeshi and not foreign.

BLIND MAN SHAKUNA SEE IN INDIA IN EACH AND EVERY HOUSE ESPECIALLY RSS HOUSES VIDHEISHI ONLY MADE IN CHINA.
We Congress people don’t beat our chest to proclaim to say Indians.

CPM, CPI & RSP plus other splinter groups of the 'Leftist' movement are spent forces in today's emerging India. With the country progressing towards a two party pole, Left has already vacated the opposition role to BJP in the early 90's & now Congress & smaller outfits like AAP has taken over the space of Left parties in the two party system (against the BJP)

Completely marginalised in the WB section, Only small states like Kerala & Tripura are still sentimental to the left.
RSP in Kerala is already part of the Congress led UDF. CPI (ML) & AUDF are not contesting elections nor winning any seats. With manufacturing industry & labour class deterioting, Left support base is completely eroding.

Supporting the minority & highly corrupt UPA 1 was its biggest mistake indeed. Its high time Karat & Yechury do something to revive the left....

Sometime intentional or unintentional mistakes became blessing in disguise too. It’s was good mistake done by Left Party to leave UPA-1, because of their one such mistake people realized to dump them forever. Communist mentality not at all good for any Country even though they are less corrupt than any other Political Parties, but always talks negative when it comes to developmental works

Chaddi is very important to protect one's dignity. Can you come out of home without chaddi? Yourself will feel difficult without chaddi. When it is so important, why hate it? The chaddi what you are referring only can protect country's dignity.

When chhadi fits snugly it protects from the elements and protects dignity too but when Chhadi is all loose and 'FLARED' anything can slip through inside. So where is the protection to dignity ? On the contrary it is a DANGER !

    Mistakes do happen with everybody.
But the good souls accept their mistakes, correct their mistakes and move in right path.
However lairs never accept their mistakes. They are always in denial mode.
They will never correct themselves nor allow other to correct them.

modi and shah are trying thier level best to win major states like up,bihar, bengal etc as bjp want majority in rajyasabha by itself.

once they have the majority in rajyasabha along with loksabha which they already have(no leader of opposition also)

they can pass bills very easily like repeal of article 370 in kashmir, anti corruption bill, making cbi independent body and many more bills.

india becoming safe, secure, and strong internally and also in world politics is not too far

all because of our proud pm lion narendra modi and his able partner amit shah.

    good day,thanks.

Feku will never repent but the voters who voted him to power will certainly do, barring the Chhadi association members.
The man is super arrogant has no remorse and even claims innocence for 2002 and his rise to the top post has made him feel invincible. Does he even know what repent means ?
