Mangalore, Oct 29: The Akhila Bharata Tulu Okkuta will launch the Tulu Parishat in city on Oct 29.
Writer Erya Lakshminarayana Alva will inaugurate the parishat at Adyar.
D K Chowta of State Chitrakala Parishat will preside over the inaugural ceremony in which State Tulu Academy President M K Seetharam Kulal and Vidya Naik of Nagarika Seva Trust and Karavali Mahila Jagruti Vedike will be present.
A symposium on Tulu culture will be held after the inauguration and will be participated by in-charge Minister for DK district B Nagaraj Shetty, Suratkal MLA J Krishna Palemar and folklorist Dr Ganesh Amin Sankamar.
The Akhila Bharata Tulu Okkuta was established in the year 1989 and has been striving for the cause of Tulu language and culture.
