Islamabad, Oct 30 (IANS): At least four suspected militants, including one of Arab origin, were killed in a US drone strike in Pakistan's South Waziristan Thursday.
The drone fired two missiles at a compound in Birmal tehsil of South Waziristan, Dawn online reported citing sources.
The Arab-origin militant who was killed has been identified as Adil, the report said, adding details of the incident could not be verified independently as media access to the area was restricted.
South Waziristan is among Pakistan’s seven tribal districts near the Afghan border which are rife with insurgents and are alleged to be strongholds of Taliban and Al Qaeda operatives, among others.
