Mangalore, Oct 30: A two-day regional seminar on 'Applications of Radio Isotope and Radiation Technology' will be organised by Mangalore University in association with Mumbai's National Association for Applications of Radio isotope and Radiation in Industry (NAARRI).

The seminar will be held on November 29 and 30 at the University campus here. An exhibition on 'peaceful uses of atomic energy' will also be organised on the occasion. The seminar will aim at disseminating information on how radio isotope and technology can be used for the betterment of the society.

Invitation for participation is open for representatives of institutions and organisations. Interested members from the public may also send in their applications. Registration for the same will be free of charge.

Scientists from the Board of Radiation and Isotope Technology (BRIT), Atomic Energy Regulatory Board (AERB) and Baba Atomic Research Centre (BARC) are expected to participate.
