Mangalore, Oct 30: Over 100 persons who had invested money into a business involving image designing gathered in front of the office of the enterprise protesting against the mismanagement.

Several persons who had invested in ‘Design Nest’ an enterprise offering jobs to youth with ‘Work from home’ concept were irked on the fact that the enterprise, after taking deposit from them had pulled down its shutters.

According to the agitators who gathered in front of the office situated in Trade Centre, Balmatta, the establishment had given advertisements in the media stating that they provided jobs which will fetch them around Rs 6,000 every month. However a deposit was also taken from those interested in the work.

After operating for about 3 months, the establishment was found locked and none to claim responsibility for the closure.
 
An investment of Rs 6,000 and Rs 10,000 has been collected from people. Every month one CD with images of jewellery was given to each person. These images were to be edited and returned for which they were paid Rs 6,000 and Rs 7,000 respectively under the scheme opted for.

However the persons who accepted the deposit are reportedly absconding.

Several people have lost lacs of rupees in business of similar nature operated by many in Mangalore. The recent example of one Anil Kumar who was managing Genesis Technology in Sterling Chambers Balmatta had duped hundreds of investors.

One of the persons who lost nearly 6 lacs complained to Daijiworld. He further warned the people against such investing into such business ventures.
