Bangalore, Oct 31: An "Eye Camp" was organized by Lions Club of Bangalore East in St Mary's Orphanage, Cooke Town here on Saturday.

President Ln Thillai and Eye camp chairman Ln J P Naidu took the lead in the programme.

About 200 boys were screened for eyes by Dr Sheethal and team from Project Drishti, a unit of  Mahaveer Eye Hospital, Bangalore. They have kindly agreed for necessary follow-ups for the boys.

Orphanage director Fr John Anthony has expressed his gratitude towards the kind gesture on the part of the hospital authorities. Religious sisters Savery, Sushmitha and Jaya lent a helping hand during this eye camp.
