Mangalore, Oct 31: A team of Lokayutka officials on Monday Oct 30 arrested Sridhar Subraya Achar, Tahsildar, Bantwal, and Raghuchandra Achar, revenue inspector, Bantwal taluk office, on charge of accepting bribe.

Ishwarchandra Vidyasagar, Superintendent of Police, Lokayutka, Mangalore, said that the team led by him caught them while accepting the bribe. He said that they had asked for Rs 15,000 from two persons pertaining to a land alienation case. After bargain a deal was struck.

The Tahsildar had allegedly demanded Rs. 11,000 and the revenue inspector Rs 1,000 as bribe.
