Mangalore, Oct 31: Deputy Chief Minister Yediyurappa who visited District Wenlock Hospital here on Monday Oct 31 expressed satisfaction on the functioning of the hospital. He said that this hospital has become a model which must be emulated in the all Government hospitals.
He assured of disusing the matter of development of the hospital with the health minister and also promised to meet the officials of the finance department to provide required equipment to the hospital. For maintenance for the hospital the government would provide Rs 2 lac annually, the Dy CM said.
Infosys foundation has provided Rs 5 crore for the construction of the building that is expected to be completed by February.
In-charge minister for DK district B Nagaraj Shetty, Mangalore MLA N Yogish Bhat, Deputy Commissioner N Maheshwar Rao, Zilla Panchayat CEO A M Kunjappa and Superintendent of Police B Dayananda were present.
