New chief secretary for Mizoram


Aizawl, Nov 1 (IANS): Lalmalsawma, who was working as a principal secretary with the Delhi government, has taken over charge as Mizoram's new chief secretary, an official said here Saturday.

"Lalmalsawma took the charge as Mizoram's chief secretary Friday after the superannuation of L. Tochhawng, who retired from service," the official said.

L. Tochhawng was the first woman chief secretary of Mizoram.

Lalmalsawma, an AGMUT (Arunachal Pradesh-Goa-Mizoram and Union Territory) cadre IAS officer of the 1983 batch, was looking after the SC, ST, OBC and minorities department of the Delhi government.
