New Delhi, Nov 1 (IANS): Central Zone batsman Robin Bist, who scored an unbeaten 112 to help the team set a 301-run target against South Zone on the fourth day of the Duleep Trophy cricket final at the Ferozeshah Kotla here Saturday, said that he made amends for missing a hundred in the first innings.
“Being a set batsman, I should not have lost my wicket in the first innings. So, I felt guilty of scoring a bigger knock. Today, I made amends for that with the hundred,” Bist, who scored 79 in the first innings, said.
Talking about the knock, Bist said: “We lost wickets regularly in the morning. So, I was under pressure. Being a set batsman, I was focusing on not to leave it to someone else to do the job. Me and Ali Murtaza got a good partnership which helped the team.”
