Khadi sales increased: Modi


New Delhi, Nov 2 (IANS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi Sunday said that the sale of khadi products has increased by almost 125 percent.

"I was told that khadi sales increased by almost 125 percent," Modi said on 'Mann Ki Baat' radio programme which was aired at 11 a.m. Sunday.

"I urged people to purchase khadi last time. I never said become khadiwadi but I said buy some khadi. There was increase in khadi," he said.

Modi had first addressed people over radio Oct 3.
