China's non-manufacturing PMI falls


Beijing, Nov 3 (IANS): China's service sector activity slightly slowed in October, a monthly survey showed Monday.

The purchasing managers' index (PMI) for the non-manufacturing sector posted at 53.8 percent last month, down 0.2 percentage points from September, according to a report released by the National Bureau of Statistics and the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing, reported Xinhua.

A reading above 50 indicates expansion, while a reading below 50 represents contraction.
