Chennai, Nov 6 (IANS): City-based enterprise solutions player Ramco Systems Ltd. launched enterprise resource planning (ERP) programme on wearable devices like Google Glass and Smart Watch, Thursday here.
To address the postmodern ERP era with a future-ready ERP on the cloud, the company unveiled its new product.
"Globally, there is a shift in the way ERP applications are being consumed. The era of seeing ERP as a 'system of record' is passe," Virender Aggarwal, CEO, said in a statement.
According to him enterprises are looking for information technology (IT) applications to solve business problems.
"Our platform-based approach to build ERP has enabled us to launch solutions on wearables and integrate with in-memory based engine to deliver business value to users. This is the future and we are among the forerunners in this game," he said.
