Dubai: Karnataka Sangha Celebrates Rajyotsava Day in Style

Dubai, Nov 4: Karnataka Sangha Dubai celebrated the Suvarna Karnataka Utsava, the golden anniversary of the formmation of greater Karnataka, on November 3 in the Indian Consulate, Dubai.

A talent contest was held to mark the historic day. Children participated in the contest in large numbers. The Fancy Dress contest was eye-catching and children displayed their superb talent on the stage.




Daijiworld's Woman Vision editor Elaine Fernandes, Gopinath and Poornima were the judges.

Yash Sinha, India's consul general in Dubai, was the guest of honor.

Darshan and Aditya, up-and-coming Sandalwood stars from Karnataka, were the special guests and they participated in a 'question-and-answer' session during the event

Zafrulla Khan and Saidq were also guests of honour. Well-known Kannada social figure Ranjani Suresh compered the programme.

C R Shetty, president of Karnataka Sangha, Welcomed and briefed about the activities of the Sangha.






John Monteiro, general secretary, introduced Yash Sinha.

Folk dances, filmi dances and a brief Yakshgana ballet were part of the entertainment of the Rajyostava day.
