New Delhi, Nov 7 (IANS): In an endeavour to connect with its supporters, Indian Super League (ISL) franchise Delhi Dynamos FC Friday entered into a partnership with car-for-hire and ride-sharing service company Uber to offer free cab rides to its fans who buy match tickets of Rs.200 and more.
Through the partnership, the fans will be able to avail free rides worth Rs.500 (two rides worth Rs.250 each) through Uber's mobile phone application.
Fans will also get the option of redeeming their free rides until Dec 31.
"The Delhi Dynamos is a club for the fans and is constantly working towards creating one-of-a-kind experiences. The tie-up with Uber will make sure our fans are driven around the city in style. Our utmost endeavour is to deliver to all our fans an enthralling game of football and wow them with unmatched experiences," Sameer Manchanda, CMD of DEN Networks, owners of the Delhi franchise, said in a press conference Friday.
Uber Delhi's general manager Gagan Bhatia also expressed his enthusiasm at the partnership.
"We've partnered with Delhi because the Dynamos and Uber share one thing in common and that is loyalty to the people of our own city. Improving the Delhi Dynamos fans' experience of the game is Uber Delhi's way of supporting the team," Bhatia said.
The Delhi Dynamos play all their home matches at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.
