UP health minister launches ambulance service


Ghaziabad, Nov 8 (IANS): Uttar Pradesh Health Minister Ahmed Hassan Saturday launched 102 National Ambulance Service and flagged off 122 ambulances from Ghaziabad police lines.

The ambulances will be dispatched to different districts falling under four divisions - Meerut, Moradabad, Bareilly and Saharanpur.

The vehicles would be stationed under the control of chief medical officers of the concerned district.

The ambulance service is free for all citizens and can be availed by calling toll-free number 102.

The minister also launched six other projects worth Rs. 2.6 crore pertaining to the department.
