Mumbai, Nov 5: British Foreign Minister Margaret Beckett will be in the city on a two-day visit from Monday.
Beckett, on her maiden visit to India after taking over her new assignment, will arrive in the metropolis after visiting New Delhi and Hyderabad.
While in Mumbai, Ms Beckett is scheduled to call on Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh and meet Mumbai Police Commissioner A N Roy.
She will also participate in a round-table on carbon trading and climate change and meet leading businessmen, a release said.
Speaking about her visit, Beckett said, "I am absolutely delighted to be visiting India. India is an important partner for the UK as we both work together to address the global challenges that face the world today.
"Issues such as counter-terrorism and climate change can only be addressed successfully if all the key international players work together."
