Mangalore: Stany Mendonca Puts up Impressive Show at Kelrai

Mangalore, Nov 5: On the open grounds of St Anne Church at Kelarai on Sunday November 5 well-known Konkani singer cum composer Stany Mendonca's Nite was a hit.
Promoted by Catholic Sabha, Kelarai unit, the show which is the third performance of Stany was graced by Konkani Kogull Wilfy Rebimbus who also released Stany's first music album "Chintnam, Bhognnam, Bhavanam." Parish priest Fr Mark Castelino was the chief guest.
'Konkantlo Kavi Haun' by Stany, 'Nevidetha' by Rony Crasta, 'Mai Tu Koi Asai' by Stany, 'Maggie' by Claud, 'Rau Rau Muja Mona' by Carol and 'Lottery' by Claud and Rony were the songs sung at the show.
The rain which played a spoilsport brought the show to an end.
Claud D'Souza, Rony D'Cunha, Rony Crasta, Carol Monteiro and Stany presented a total of six numbers. Santhosh D'Costa and his co-artistes Neville and Shanti entertained the audience with rib-tickling jokes.
The show was compered by Vincent Mendonca Cascia brother of Stany Mendonca.
Stany Mendonca and his melodious voice are not new to Konkani buffs. He is also a well-known composer and has already staged 2 music nites earlier. After leaving Mangalorean shores in search of better pastures in UK, Stany has now starting another innings of music in his native land.
