BJP announces five more candidates for Kashmir

New Delhi, Nov 11 (IANS): The BJP Tuesday came out with five more names for the Jammu and Kashmir assembly polls, including four Muslims and one Hindu.

The nominees are Abdul Rehman Lone from Kupwara, Abdul Rashid Zargar from Lolab, M.M. War from Langate, Ghulam Hassan Zargar from Kulgam and Nirmal Singh from Billawar.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has decided to go solo in the Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections.

Riding high on its recent success in the assembly polls in Haryana and Maharashtra, BJP has set a target of 44-plus seats in the 87-seat Jammu and Kashmir assembly. The BJP's best performance so far in the state was in 2008 when it got 11 seats.
