Modi invites Indonesian companies to 'Make in India'


Nay Pyi Taw, Nov 13 (IANS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Indonesian President Joko Widodo Thursday and congratulated him on assuming office.

PM @narendramodi congratulates President Widodo on his win and taking over as the President of Indonesia, a PMO India tweet said.

Modi also talked about the 'Make in India' initiative and invited Indonesian companies to come to India.

He also invited the Indonesian President to visit India.

Earlier in the day, Modi met Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, President of the Philippines, Benigno Simeón Cojuangco Aquino III and Chinese Premier Li Keqiang.

He also addressed the 9th East Asia Summit (EAS).

Modi will now fly to Australia for the G20 summit and later to Fiji.
