Maoists destroy guest house in Odisha

Bhubaneswar, Nov 14 (IANS): A group of armed Maoists razed a company guest house in Odisha's Koraput district, police said Friday.

Police said a group of Maoists razed the guest house of Aditya Birla company at Pedapadu village Thursday night.

The guest house was an abandoned building and was unused since months.

"We are verifying the attack. But, Maoists may have been worried that police would use the old abandoned building of granite company to set up camp. We have no such plan," Inspector General of Police (South Western range) Yaswant Jethwa told IANS.

While razing the guest house with the help of a bulldozer, the Maoists also left behind a poster.
