Modi greets people of Jharkhand on foundation day


New Delhi, Nov 15 (IANS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi Saturday greeted the people of Jharkhand on the state's 14th Foundation Day.

Modi is currently on an official visit to Australia to participate in the G20 Summit.

"PM Narendra Modi has conveyed his greetings and best wishes to the people of Jharkhand on the state's foundation day," said Prime Minister Office's Twitter account.

Jharkhand was carved out of the southern part of Bihar Nov 15, 2000 as the 28th state of India.
