Rampal reaches high court; to face contempt proceedings


Chandigarh, Nov 20 (IANS): Controversial sect leader Rampal was brought to the Punjab and Haryana high court Thursday afternoon under heavy police protection.

He will face contempt proceedings in the high court.

The high court had earlier Thursday cancelled Rampal's bail in a murder case of 2006.

Rampal, who was shifted from a government hospital in Panchkula to a police station lock up there, was brought in a police truck meant for jail inmates.
