Bengaluru: BJP leaders detained for staging dharna against tainted ministers

From Our Special Correspondent
Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru

Bengaluru, Nov 20: As many as 300 State BJP leaders, including State party chief Prahlad Joshi and former chief ministers B S Yeddyurappa and Jagadish Shettar and other activists, were detained by the police as they tried to hold a dharna in front of Mahatma Gandhi statue between Vidhana Soudha and Vikasa Soudha on Thursday.

Leaders including Yeddyurappa, Shettar and former ministers K S Eshwarappa, Shobha Karandlaje, Suresh Kumar and others stormed the Vidhana Soudha premises demanding that all "tainted" ministers be dropped from the cabinet.

Tension prevailed in the Vidhana Soudha and Vikasa Soudha premises and there was exchange of words between the police and the leaders, as police officers refused to allow leaders to hold a dharna in front of the Mahatma Gandhi statue.

While Karandlaje, who was successful in reaching the statue, was arrested there, the other leaders were detained as soon as they entered the Vidhana Soudha premises through the East Gate.

Good work by BJP. When BJP was in power in Karnataka, Siddu used to abuse and insult Yeddyurappa. And he did that useless padayatra. Tried several times to bring down the BJP Govt, but failed. After all this exhaustive work, CM has become Niddaramiah. Now, BJP should try to bring down this Scamress Govt.

All the politicians irrespective of Party are corrupt. Not even one percent of them are clean. They wear white dress to show they are clean. I have seen many. All these are involved in Sand Mafia, and many more illegal activities. They just pretend as if they are the kings. They will give money from government. They do as if they are giving from their pocket.

Shoba speaks big right. Where the hell is she. People who voted her are regretting because she will be back only for cutting ribbons or during next election. NH is left incomplete. JP Hegde when he won the work was started. But this lady is absconding. people should be blamed. They should vote for person who will work for us. But people vote for person looking at the caste, religion and party. Guys be indian first.. then rest will follow. Politicians are responsible for all bad things happening here like communal fight etc. god knows when people will realize this

These people are not having any work to do especially Yeddy, Eshwarappa and Shobha. They are not having any moral right to do this when the present Karnataka government is doing extremely well. I bet this government will be permanent in Karnataka inspite of struggling by BJP to remove the government.

    What an irony!!!
When the Union Govt. run by BJP has more than 30% tainted (Very badly too) Ministers they are holding out a dharna in Karnataka claiming State Ministers are tainted?
Things are really becoming bad every where in India, lately.

Dear guys who are commenting here, please note the cities names are officially changed -Mangalore as Mangaluru and Bangalore as Bangaluru, get used to it. My friends who applied for OCI recently- their papers got rejected because they addressed birth place as previous anglican names as M'lore & B'lore, get used to new Indian names. Especially for you Mr. Nagesh Nayak -Bangalore.

Regarding these useless BJP leaders of karnataka are concerned, have no right to protest against ruling Congress tainted leaders, when they themselves face corruption charges, these guys are making fool of themselves. Both BJP & present Congress rulers in Karnataka are corrupt, we don't expect any progress from these useless, worthless politician.
    God save our state.

Do these ministers have sence? are they gone mad? These should be put behind he bar for life long for disrupting peace, harmony & causing inconvenience to the public in the name of public servants. They forgot hat thy did during their regime in Karnataka.... goons, monges dakus, looters, murderers etc were present in the BJP government & now asking Congress to clean the cabinet? Guys if you have something called self respect... which I believe you guys don't have & doesn't know what it is .... orelse you would not have behaved so...... clean up yourself & your party first before preaching others.... also tell your Modi to clean his central ministers first. Tell ur central Finance Minister to think on the worst of rupee against dollar.

To day corruption is the biggest epidemic in our soceity.Politicians are sponsors of this big discease.Indira Congress sow the seeds of corruption and nurturated it and tree is grown to the present level. All politicians/their parties are roots of the tree.Karnataka is the laboratory of corrutpion and spoiled the good name of the state. No political party/its leaders/any organisation to day cant claim the tag that they/is is free of corrution.Previous govt saw the golden days of corruption in the state. All so called leaders are cores pathis here reminds days of Sree Krishna Deverayas Vijaya nagar dynasty.Staging protes/dharana against corruption is nothing but mockery.
Thanks to Dear PM Modiji for his commitment for corrution free state and reforms and people friends intiatves on cards.Karnataka leaders of BJP party should understand that people have voted to you not for your individual status but only to reach out Dear Modiji who is only the hope of proeperous India.
