Mangalore, Nov 14: The SDM Law College and (Post Graduate studies in laws) has topped the rank list in Mangalore University.

Dr B K Ravindra, principal, S D M Law College, addressing media persons here on Monday said that in the five year LL B course Badrinat S has secured the first rank, while in the three years LL B course Theresa FE Andrade has secured the first rank.

In Bachelor of Academic Law examinations, Bhavana Rao M secured the first rank and Sameeha has secured the second rank. 

Dr Ravindra on the occasion expressed his happiness that the college had bagged 4 out of 5 ranks awarded by the University.

He also added that the college will start P G Diploma course in ‘Intellectual Property Rights and Information Technology laws and also PG Diploma in Labour and Human Resource Management laws. These courses will aim at catering to the needs of the market in respect of professionals on intellectual property rights.

The PG Diploma in Human Resource Management, which will be very useful for HRD professionals to handle the tough question on labour related and allied laws.

The college also plans to conduct a certificate course in ‘Cyber Laws’ in collaboration with Cyber Law College of Chennai, with the purpose of  bringing general awareness on cyber laws for advocates, chartered accountants, company secretaries, executives, bank employees, law students and teachers, cyber café owners and all citizens who are interested to know about the law.

Lecturer of the college Taranath and rank holders Bhavana Rao and Sameeha were also present at the meet.
