Mangaluru: Stage set for Melwyn Peris 100th Musical Nite

Mangaluru, Nov 20 : Music composer and singer Melwyn Peris is all set to present his historic 100th musical nite along with his troupe on November 23 at St Agnes Special School grounds. The show will start at 6 pm, and entry is free.

One video album and two audio albums of Melwyn Peris will be released during the event. The video album is a collection of Peris' hit songs from all his previous albums. One audio album compises new compositions by Peris, while the other has instrumental musical hits from his collection.

Melwyn Peris Nite will include a galaxy of singers who have been associated with him ever since he started organizing musical nites. Also, another speciality is that three comperes who were associated with his shows in the past will be part of the 100th show.

There will be comedy skits by Jerry Rasquinha and his team members and dance shows by Naach Sobhann.


Rony D'Cunha from Kuwait, Anitha D'Souza, Dr Aparna Mayekar, Ivy D'Souza, Robin Sequeira, Zeena Pereira, Nestor Pereira, Rony Crasta, Doreen D'Souza, Lavita Lobo, Reena D'Souza Mumbai will render their melodious voices to the show. 'Sangeeth Guru' Joel Pereira will arrange the music, supported by other musicians namely Roshan D'Souza Anjelore, Jerome Coelho, Theo Alvares, and Melwyn Fernandes.

Leslie Rego, Titus Noronha and Melita Pinto will compere the show.

Dr Aloysius Paul D'Souza, bishop of Mangalore diocese, J R Lobo, MLA Mangalore South, Ivan D'Souza, MLC, Leo Rodrigues, entrepreneur based in Abu Dhabi, Walter Nandalike, Daijiworld founder, Michael D'Souza, entrepreneur from Dubai, Roy Castelino, president of Konkani Sahitya Academy, Basti Vaman Shenoy, president, World Konkani Centre, Rohan Monteiro, entrepenuer, Meena Rebimbus, Konkani singer, Henry D'Souza, Konkani singer, Eric Ozario, Gurkar, Mandd Sobhann, Fr Mathew Vaz, parsh priest of Anjelore, Fr Ronald D'Souza, director of ICYM will be the guests for the event.

The 100th show is presented by Sangeeth Ghar in association with ICYM central council.
