Five killed in Bengal accident


Kolkata, Nov 22 (IANS): Five people including three of a family were killed and four injured Saturday in a road accident in West Bengal's Burdwan district, police said.

The incident took place in Galsi when a sports utility vehicle (SUV) on its way to Jharkhand collided with a truck and turned turtle, police said.

Four occupants of the SUV including three women were killed on the spot while a bystander who was injured in the accident later succumbed to her injuries, police said.

Four people have been hospitalised with serious injuries.
