Punjab Kesari group donates Rs.2 crore for Kashmir flood relief


Jammu, Nov 24 (IANS): Punjab Kesari and Hindi Samachar group chairman Vijay Chopra Monday donated Rs.2 crore for flood relief in Jammu and Kashmir to Governor N.N.Vohra.

Chopra called on Vohra at the Raj Bhavan here and handed over drafts and cheques valuing Rs. 2 crore for the Chief Minister's Relief Fund, said an official statement.

"This significant amount, collected by Punjab Kesari and Hind Samachar Group, represents donations from all over the country for helping the flood victims in Jammu and Kashmir," said the statement.

"The governor appreciated Chopra's noble initiative," it added.
