Puttur, Nov 16: Two persons have been arrested by a special team of the police while for illegally transporting pistol and sabres on a rickshaw near Mayoor theatre here on Wednesday November 15 evening.
The arrested have been identified as rickshaw driver Sridhar from Sarve and Muralikrishna Bhat of Kemmayi. They were nabbed while transporting pistol and sabres in rickshaw (KA 21 - 4320).
However, it is not yet known as from the pistol was procured and to whom it was being transported. The police team led by ASP Dr Harsha is investigating the case.
