Police recover 21 kg of heroin in Punjab


Chandigarh, Nov 26 (IANS): The counter-intelligence wing of the Punjab Police has recovered 21 kg of heroin in Bathinda district, police officials said Wednesday.

The drugs consignment was recovered from the possession of five people who have been arrested.

The heroin was worth Rs.105 crore in the international market.

Inspector General counter-intelligence Jitendra Jain said that the drugs consignment was smuggled from the Pakistan side through the international border in Rajasthan.
