Trinamool MPs use black shawls for black money protest

New Delhi, Nov 27 (IANS): Trinamool MPs are resorting to novel ideas as far as protesting inside the Lok Sabha is concerned. As soon as the house commenced its proceedings Thursday, Trinamools members entered draped in black shawls and raised slogans on bringing back the black money stashed abroad.

On Tuesday, the party members used black umbrellas to protest on the issue but were warned by Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan, who threatened them with disciplinary action.

As the Trinamool Congress members raised slogans Thursday, Mahajan ignored them and proceeded with the question hour.

Unlike on earlier occasions, however, the Trinamool members did not disrupt the proceedings.

The Lok Sabha began discussing the black money issue Wednesday.
