Kuwait, Nov 17: Family get together for the member’s families was organized by the Tulu Koota Kuwait on 17th November, 2006 from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm at the Mishref Gardens, Kuwait. Tulu Koota Kuwait which has reached high limits in the field of entertainment, sports and in helping the Tulu Nadu people, under the President ship of Chandrahasa Shetty and Vice President Helen Pinto was successful in breaking the record of more than 1000 people assembling to take part in the “Family Picnic – 2006.”  The weather was also very favorable and quite pleasing as it is beginning of winter in Kuwait.


A delicious breakfast was served to all with a cup of hot tea/coffee. Various games were organized to the kids below 9 years like the filling the bottle with water, throwing ball in the basket, Blacking the city, Back Race, Frog race & Sack race. The second Category of 9-18 years enjoyed the game of throwing ring to wicket, skipping, Tonka etc. and the 3rd category for all above 18 years with Shutput, Breaking the pot for Ladies and Jaru Kamba, Shakti Gallu, Tarai Katta for Men.




Out of these Jaru Kamba was introduced for the first time and was the main attraction of the day. Tulu Koota also witnessed another record of 16 teams taking part in the Volley ball session. Other games like Kabbadi, Govinda, Throw Ball and Tug of war were arranged for the teams.




Lucky draws of 10 car kits was organized by Behbehani Car rental while other attractive prices on Lucky coupon etc were organized by Tulu Koota Kuwait. Program came to an end with the prize distribution where the winners walked away with huge prizes.




Delicious lunch was served by M & M Confectionery. The program was ably compered by Helen Pinto, Chandrahasa Shetty, Tharendra Shettigar & Suresh Salian.
