'Pakistan wants good relations with neighbours'

Islamabad, Nov 29 (IANS): Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif has said that Pakistan wants good relations with all neighbouring and regional countries to establish lasting peace in South Asia.

Asif said that Kashmiris in India should be given their due rights without delay, Radio Pakistan reported Saturday.

He urged India to resolve this core issue to achieve progress and prosperity for the people of South Asia.

The minister also said that the government is desirous of better relations with the US on the basis of mutual respect and equality.

The US should trust the military operation successfully continuing in Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) against terrorist groups without any discrimination.
