Mangalore, Nov 19: Janata Dal (S) president of the Mangalore Constituency M Aslam addressing the press persons here on Saturday, demanded resignation from State Minority Commission president K S Masood.
Alleging that Masood has not been discharging his duties of working towards the upliftment of the poor minorities, Aslam said that the minorities in trouble do not get help.
Aslam also added that when there was a communal riot in Mangalore, Masood was resting in Bangalore leaving the people to misery. He also blamed Masood for not taking interest in meeting the riot-affected people.
JD (S) leader Farook Ullal who was present at the press meet said that Masood should resign from the Muslim Central Committee where he is just a member and does not work for the community or the people.
Mohammed Kunhi Vittal, Abdul Rasheed Ullal, Vice-President of Jumma Masjid Ullal and Darga Committee, Ashraf Matta Uppinangadi, Secretary, District Youth wing of Janata Dal, M Shafi, president of Ullal constituency were present in the press meet.
