Arrested Trinamool MP Srinjoy Bose hospitalised

Kolkata, Dec 1 (IANS): Trinamool Congress Rajya Sabha member Srinjoy Bose, arrested by the CBI in connection with the multi-crore rupee Saradha scam, was Monday admitted to a hospital, a doctor said.

Bose, who pressed for his bail Saturday on health grounds but was refused and remanded to judicial custody till Dec 5, complained of heart-related ailments Sunday night.

He was admitted to the government-run S.S.K.M. hospital.

"He complained of heart-related problems last night (Sunday) following which he was admitted Monday morning," said a S.S.K.M. hospital doctor.

Bose, the editor of Trinamool mouthpiece Jago Bangla and Bengali newspaper 'Sambad Pratidin', was arrested Nov 21 by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for his prima facie involvement in the Saradha scam over allegations of criminal conspiracy, misappropriation of funds and deriving undue financial benefits.
