Bengaluru, Dec 1: The police have arrested S A Rajesh, son of former Karnataka chief minister Yeddyurappa's sister, on the allegation of cheating after collecting money and a car on the promise of getting a property denotified. The arrest was made as per the order passed by a city court.
A person named K G Krishna, a resident of Banashankari, had filed the said complaint. On the basis order issued by the court, the policemen of Hanumanthanagar station here went to Mysuru and brought Rajesh to the city.
Krishna happens to be a realtor. He has alleged that Rajesh had collected Rs 50 lac and a luxury car on the promise of getting 11 acres of land, previously owned by Krishnappa at Mogaralli on KRS Road, denotified. Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board (KIADB) had acquired the land from Krishnappa in the year 2007.
As Rajesh failed to get the land denotified as promised, Krishna had filed a court case, seeking refund of money. Rajesh too filed a police complaint claiming that Krishna was threatning him. The court, after hearing the case, ordered the police to arrest Rajesh.
