30 suspected militants killed in Pakistan airstrikes


Islamabad, Dec 2 (IANS): At least 30 suspected militants were killed during airstrikes conducted in Pakistan's north Waziristan region, media reported Tuesday.

Security officials said that the militants including two key commanders and several foreign fighters were killed in airstrikes which were carried out in a jungle in Datakhel area, Dawn online reported.

Two vehicles were also destroyed in the strikes.

In another incident, five militants were killed and six injured Tuesday in a clash with security forces in Khyber Agency.
