Rahul leads Congress protest against government

New Delhi, Dec 2 (IANS): Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi Tuesday led a protest by party MPs in the parliament complex, accusing the government of making U-turns on policy issues.

Accompanied by members from both houses, Gandhi walked over to the Mahatma Gandhi statue and waved copies of a booklet released by his party Monday.

Gandhi accused the government of not fulfilling the promises made during the Lok Sabha election campaign.

"There is U-turn on black money, on corruption, on CAG. Whatever they promised, they did not fulfill," he said.

Titled "6 Mahine Paar, U-turn Sarkar", the booklet lists 25 matters on which the Congress says the government reversed the stance of the Bharatiya Janata Party when it was in the opposition.
