3-year-old raped twice in Bengaluru school

Bengalaru, Dec 3 (PTI): A three-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted twice in the premises of a private school here in the fifth such incident in as many months.

The accused, a school attendant, was arrested on November 30 after the mother of the victim registered a police complaint, City Police Commissioner M N Reddi told PTI here.

In the complaint filed on November 29, the mother alleged that the child was sexually abused twice on October 22 and November 26, Reddi said.

The attendant has been booked under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act and Section 376 of the Indian Penal Code (relating to punishment for rape).

The latest incident comes weeks after the sexual assault of a six-year-old girl in a school by a Hindi teacher who was arrested.

In another incident in October, an office assistant in a school here was arrested for sexual assault of a three-and-a-half-year girl.

An eight-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted by her 63-year-old teacher inside her school premises over a period of time with the offence coming to light in early August, barely a month after the rape of a six-year-old girl at 'Vibgyor High' school here.

The series of incidents of sexual assault of minor girls in schools in Bengaluru has led to concerns over safety of children.

Police had issued safety guidelines for schools, which in many cases have been found to be observing them in the breach.

A man raping 3 year old...common we live in a society and society needs to change. This guy is mentally sick and factors to develop this sickness should be traced and on this a debate is required. A change in society is required. Mr. Shankar is right, before recruiting screening of employees is very very important. Screening involves asking neighbours, spending time over a dinner etc.

The problem with these schools is that they are only after making profits. When appointing personnel to schools, a psychologist can analyse a candidate during an interview. The school management has to decide to spend a little on this.
We can not keep on blaming the govt. in charge, instead implement ideas to prevent such incidences from happening. A severe and strict punishment can, for a certain extent make the culprits think twice before acting.

And in response to the Other Vijay, Madhya Pradesh has the Highest rape cases per day in India and around 4500 cases a Month. Followed by Rajasthan, Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh, Please check NCRB. You did not even notice the mention of your leader - what kind of supporter are you ? Nevertheless, do you think Karnataka CM ordered this rape ? Why are you blaming the government ?

Secondly, how sure are you that rapes don't take place in BJP ruled states ? Do you have rape statics of Delhi for the past one month ?

So the problem with Indian judiciary system, there are lot of clauses available to escape from the punishment. BJP supporters, instead of blaming state govt for the rapes, please advise your 56" Feku Maharaj to change the constitution and bring the strict law. Vijay,

I am sure you are a supporter of BJP. I have a suggestion. Imagine PM Modi asks you to go about raping women - will you do it ?

Well, its the same for states run by non-BJP Governments. No government official has a hand in the crimes taking place within their territory - its individuals' mentality.

If at all you can do any good to the victim or the mankind, condemn the crime and render voice in support of victims, don't bring politics in everything as if you know nothing else to talk.

Someday if you will be in the receiving end, you will forget who is ruling and go about doing rampage.

Though i am in favour of legalising prostitution, Legalising prostitution wont help in curbing pedophilia. You see that a person who is suffering from pedophilia has only sexual interest in children and not the adult.

And also it is common misconception that rapes are commited to satisfy lust is wrong. There can be many reasons why a women is raped. you cant usually pinpoint to a specific reason.
