New Delhi, Dec 4 (IANS): A group of unidentified men failed in their attempt to burgle a state-run bank here, police said Thursday.
The attempt was spotted by the security guard when he opened the shutter of a Punjab National Bank branch in east Delhi's Preet Vihar area around 10 a.m.
He immediately informed the police.
"A window grill was found to be broken and a few things were misplaced. The wire of the CCTV camera installed inside the bank was also detached," said a police officer.
"As of now, the lockers are safe and nothing seems to be missing. But we are verifying," the officer said.
