Norwegian detained after returning from Syria


Oslo, Dec 6 (IANS): Norwegian police took into detention a 23-year-old from his home in the city of Fredrikstad after he returned from Syria with gunshot wounds.

The Norwegian citizen is of Pakistani origin, Xinhua reported citing the TV2 channel.

He has been charged with having participated in the activities of a terrorist organisation in Syria, an accusation he has denied.

He was taken into detention Friday and officials have launched a probe into the matter.
