Man held for killing wife in Gurgaon


Gurgaon, Dec 6 (IANS): A 40-year-old man has been arrested in Gurgaon for killing his wife by setting her ablaze, police said Saturday.

Deepak Kumar was arrested for his wife's murder. He poured some inflammable liquid on Geeta Sharma, his wife and torched her after a quarrel.

"We have registered a case under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code at sector-5 police station. The accused has been arrested," police officer Sunil Kumar said.

"My sister got married to Deepak in 2000. He often beat her. The couple had three children," Sanjay Sharma, the brother of the deceased, told police.
