Modi promises good governance in Jharkhand

New Delhi, Dec 9 (IANS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi Tuesday appealed to the people to vote for the BJP to ensure a stable government in Jharkhand, and promised an action-oriented and pro-poor governance in return.

Addressing a Bharatiya Janata Party election rally in Dhanbad that goes to polls in the fourth phase of the state assembly polls Dec 14, Modi said he had confidence in the electorate that it would give its full mandate to the BJP, helping the party replicate its victory of May 2014.

"Mujhe vishwas hai ki aap BJP ko poorn bahumat dilane wale ho (I have faith in you, the voters, that you will ensure full majority for the BJP)," he said.

The prime minister said the BJP would ensure good work in the state if it came to power in Jharkhand.

As many as 15 constituencies in the 81-member Jharkhand assembly go to polls in the fourth phase Dec 14.

The first phase of the five-phase polls registered 61.92 percent polling with the second phase fairing slightly better.
