Over 1,000 Nepal politicians under scrutiny: Anti-graft chief


Kathmandu, Dec 9 (IANS): The chief of Nepal's anti-corruption body has said that more than 1,000 high-profile politicians and civil servants are under scrutiny for corruption.

Addressing a programme organised here Tuesday to mark Anti-Corruption Day, Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) chief Lokman Singh Karki said some high-profile people are under investigation.

He said increasing corruption in all sectors is tarnishing the image of the country, according to Xinhua.

CIAA is the national anti-corruption body of Nepal.
