PMK condemns police attack on journalists in Andhra


Chennai, Dec 10 (IANS): PMK party founder S. Ramadoss Wednesday condemned the attack and arrest of journalists from the state by Andhra Pradesh Police in Tirupathi.

The journalists had gone to cover the Tirupathi temple visit of Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa.

In a statement issued here PMK (Pattali Makkal Katchi) founder Ramadoss said: "Without any reason the Andhra Pradesh Police attacked the Tamil Nadu journalists and arrested them."

He said the Andhra Pradesh government should take severe action against the police officials who attacked the media persons.
