10 injured in chemical leak in South Korea


Seoul, Dec 10 (IANS): At least ten workers were injured Wednesday after chemical leakage at a plating factory in South Korea's Daegu, reported the media.

Hypochlorite got leaked at a plating factory in Daegu at around 12.35 p.m. local time, injuring 10 people. They were taken to a nearby hospital, Xinhua reported.

The accident was believed to have taken place while workers were inserting hypochlorite into a plating tank. There has, however, been no report of any fire and explosion.

The firefighting authorities are trying to control the spread of more chemical substance at the site.
