Jammu, Dec 10 (IANS): At least five people were killed and 18 others injured Wednesday when an overcrowded passenger vehicle veered off the road and turned turtle in Jammu and Kashmir's Reasi district.
"Five passengers, including two women, were killed and 18 others injured when a speeding Matador bus carrying them met with an accident at Asia Morh near Katra town this (Wednesday) evening," Inspector General of Police Garib Das told IANS here.
He said five critically injured people were admitted to a state-run hospital here.
The vehicle, with a capacity of 13 passengers, was carrying 23 people, Das added.
