Anurag Jain appointed joint secretary in PMO


New Delhi, Dec 10 (IANS): Anurag Jain, an Indian Administrative Services (IAS) officer of the Madhya Pradesh cadre, was appointed a joint secretary in the Prime Minister's Office Wednesday.

Jain, an IAS officer of the 1989 batch, is currently posted as a joint secretary in the department of financial services under the finance ministry here.

He is likely to take up his new assignment on Jan 1, an order issued by the department of personnel and training (DoPT) said.

Jain has held various positions in Madhya Pradesh earlier including collector, Bhopal and secretary to Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
