Nine missing after boats collide in China


Beijing, Dec 11 (IANS): At least nine people went missing after two boats collided and sank in the East China Sea Thursday, authorities said.

The ministry of transport's East China Sea salvage bureau received a report of an accident at 6.12 a.m. off Nanri Island, near Fujian province in China, Xinhua reported.

Four people have been rescued, of whom one of is critical.

Authorities said both the boats were Chinese vessels.
